The jury did not find Elon Musk guilty of defrauding Tesla investors
Following a court hearing on charges of stock market manipulation, the jury did not find Elon Musk guilty. Elon Musk proved that it was not he who wanted to buy Tesla, but the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, which subsequently “jumped out” of the deal.
It's worth noting that the decision to keep Tesla public paid off, as the company's shares are now worth 8 times more than when Musk tweeted about the buyback.
