Ofirio Mike Koshatko conquers the real estate market

Sometimes "overnight success" requires years of hard work and dedication. This is exactly what Mike Koshatko realized when he moved from Ukraine to the United States with only $300 in his pocket. There was a time when he could only afford ramen noodles for dinner, but now he is the owner of a successful business.

In 2014, Mike settled in Denver and moved across the country several times in search of a better life. His journey began in North Carolina, where he hitchhiked with friends and walked seven hours to reach a community. The stranger helped them find a safe place to stay for the night and allowed them to pay later. This was followed by North Dakota, where he lived and worked on a farm. He then moved to Key West, where he began working as a salesman and soon rose to a management position.

But he never allowed himself to get stuck in his comfort zone. His restlessness was his greatest asset in business. Moving around and seeking new and better opportunities inspired Mike to take every chance he could get, while gaining experience and skills along the way. He realized that if he couldn't find the opportunities he dreamed of, he would have to create them himself. Things finally started to change for the better when Mike moved to Miami. He met a real estate agent who advised him to get into this business. He took a crash course in real estate and became a licensed realtor within two weeks. Mike jumped at the opportunity to work with international property management clients in Europe and launched a holiday rental management company.

But the real beginning of Mike's financial independence began when he launched his first e-commerce company. This allowed him to learn marketing, SEO, sales, conversion and online business through on-the-job courses. Most importantly, he put all his knowledge into practice.

Having achieved success selling on Amazon, he met Jurgis Plikaitis through a real estate ad. They became friends and decided to become business partners. In-depth research revealed that there was a gap in the arts and crafts market, which led them to create Arteza, a company that sells art supplies. They first started selling excellent quality pencils, and later Arteza expanded to sell all kinds of arts and crafts products. The company grew 7500% to rank 32nd among 5000 arts and crafts stores, a huge early win for the company. Mike and his co-founder Jurgis worked 12-hour days to keep Arteza running. Mike ended up being hospitalized due to burnout. This event became a great lesson for him. He realized that he needed to maintain balance in his life by taking breaks, making time for his family and also for himself.

Mike retired from Arteza in 2020 and began focusing on stocks and real estate. He quickly realized there was a gap in the market to help investors and individuals determine the potential long-term value of a property. This led to the creation of Ofirio, a startup that Mike is now working on. Ofirio provides detailed information that allows investors and individuals to view available rental properties and immediately see their value, return on investment and other financial indicators. Ofirio allows people to make the best real estate investment decisions to achieve their goals.

There are many lessons to be learned from Mike Koshatko's story, both in business and in life. First, to achieve success, you need to focus and apply the acquired knowledge in practice. According to Mike, to be successful in your business career, you need to “be comfortable” and trust the process. Another takeaway: getting out of your comfort zone and finding better opportunities for yourself is what creates a better life. Mike could have stayed in many positions, but instead he decided to take a chance and strive for something better. He truly believes that comfort zones create stagnation, and stagnation is what kills your dreams.

Mike believes there is no such thing as overnight success. It takes years of hard work to achieve true success. Eight years have passed since Mike Koshatko began his journey. He believes in his future goals and that there are many more opportunities ahead of him.
