Playboy is back to compete with OnlyFans
Playboy, which closed in 2020, will return later this year in a new format. Now the iconic magazine will be a digital edition that will compete with OnlyFans as a safe and exclusive alternative. Playboy explained that the online magazine will have a system of authors who will publish content for adults and more, but not everyone will be able to do this, since this requires approval from the editorial team.
“We're putting the power of content creation in the hands of the creative community and giving them the tools to engage with and directly monetize their fan bases,” said Playboy Chief Brand Officer Rachel Webber.
