Meteorologists warn that two snow storms will sweep over the central regions of the country within a week. Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota - weather forecasters pay special attention to these states. Up to one foot of snow is expected to fall in some places.
There are still hundreds of rescuers working in Southern California who continue to free residents from snow traps. The situation remains particularly dangerous in San Bernardino County. It will take at least another week to clear the snow. In some regions, food is delivered by helicopter.
