The film “Navalny” won an Oscar
The documentary “Navalny” won in the “best feature-length documentary” category. The award ceremony takes place in Los Angeles. Present at the ceremony at the Dolby Theater are Navalny's wife Yulia, daughter Daria and son Zakhar. In February, the film also received the British Academy Film Award BAFTA, and in December 2022, two awards at the American Cinema Eye Honors ceremony.
Navalny was directed by Canadian director Daniel Roher, who, since the politician's recovery from a coma following his poisoning in August 2020, has been filming him recovering and investigating his own assassination attempt.
