A car crashes into a restaurant in Manhattan, injuring 22 people.
According to police, a white Audi sedan was leaving a gas station near West 204th Street and Broadway at high speed and crashed into a Toyota RAV4. The force of the impact threw the car onto the sidewalk, and then the RAV4 crashed into the building of the Inwood Bar and Grill restaurant.
22 people were injured, including three children. 19 people were taken to New York hospitals. The rest refused medical care. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene, police said. But the Audi driver fled the scene of the accident.
