New Yorkers are asked to say goodbye to the Christmas tree the right way

If you haven't already thrown your Christmas tree into the landfill, then you have a unique opportunity to properly dispose of your tree. New York City parks employees are holding a campaign to help citizens say goodbye to the Christmas tree. The Parks Department website has a map where you will find a Christmas tree collection point.

If you celebrate Orthodox Christmas, then January 8th is your last chance to donate a tree to volunteers. Very often, after the holidays, sidewalks and roadsides in New York are littered with Christmas trees. That is why the city authorities came up with such an action, which takes place in the metropolis from December 26, 2022 to January 8 of the New Year.
