The United States allows Russia and Belarus to participate in the Olympic Games, but there is a condition
The United States is not against the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 and 2026 Olympic Games, but on the condition that they compete under neutral flags. The White House said that athletes from the Russian Federation and Belarus will be allowed to compete only if it is “absolutely clear” that they do not represent their countries.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called on the International Olympic Committee to exclude Russian athletes from the games, saying their participation would effectively support an invasion of Ukraine.
