Biden signs executive order strengthening gun control
Joe Biden signed an executive order that strengthens background checks before gun purchases. Authorities believe that this way fewer weapons will fall into the hands of criminals, since purchasing them will require additional verification. Last year, the FBI conducted more than 31 million background checks on people wanting to own firearms. Biden called the order "the most significant gun safety reform in nearly 30 years."
