“Some were vomiting from the monstrous smell”: in Texas, a family wants to sue a funeral home for $1 million

Edward Silva died suddenly in Houston on February 9, 2021. His mother planned a funeral for February 17. But before that I contacted the funeral home. There they promised her that the dead man would look as if he was sleeping. Juliet Guerra claims that the bureau was negligent: over these few days, the body decomposed beyond recognition.

The company has an excuse: at that time there was a hurricane in the city and there was no electricity, so the refrigeration chambers were turned off. About 100 people were invited to the funeral. Despite the closed coffin, everyone present covered their noses, and some even vomited from the monstrous smell.

Recently it became known that the family of the deceased Edward is suing the bureau and wants to receive compensation of $1 million.
