The first meeting of the Ukrainian business community brings together entrepreneurs

On Friday, November 18, the first meeting of the Ukrainian Business Community took place at Gallery G in Lower Manhattan. Organizers Denis Kanel and Natalia Mirovich planned the event to provide participants with the opportunity to create new partnerships and future collaborations, as well as find inspiration and insight from a variety of panelists.

Panelists and ticket holders participated in formal discussions and then networked during a networking event with live music and a bar. The information sponsor of the event was E-PR Online. Future meetings will be announced soon.

The first meeting was a huge success, featuring four speakers from different industries, all of them Ukrainian businessmen or entrepreneurs whose projects support Ukraine:

1. Gennady Perepada has Ukrainian roots and is currently the president of One & Only Realty Inc. His 25 years of experience in the New York and Florida real estate industry translates into over $3 billion in real estate sales, making him a formidable figure in the market. He dedicated his career to making people's American Dream come true. He helps mainly foreign clients find the luxury home of their dreams.

2. Edward Schneider co-founded Brooklyn supermarket Netcost Market in the late 90s to serve immigrant communities with groceries from home. The company quickly expanded to other areas and Philadelphia. Anyone interested in wholesale importing and exporting can learn from Schneider.

3. A successful tennis coach, Nurmud Mukhatasov became a co-founder and managing partner of Matchpoint sports clubs. These sports clubs help develop the next generation of young athletes with state-of-the-art tennis courts, aquatic centers, dance studios and more.

4. Brooklyn foodies should know the name Herman the Mouseman. He is the restaurant master who founded and owns the Wise Bar & Grill on Neptune Ave. They've been serving Brooklynites the best in high-end European cuisine for nearly a decade. The restaurant offers a variety of international cuisine, including French and Ukrainian, and also functions as a nightlife hub with DJ parties on weekends.

The Ukrainian Business Community was recently created with the aim of developing a wide network of Ukrainian businesses and entrepreneurs, and providing them with a framework to expand their businesses, as well as launch new ventures. They also provide mentorship to rising stars in the industry and help promote community members' companies. This project began with the support of Ukrainian New York, America's largest Ukrainian community with more than 17 followers on social networks.

About the organizers:

  1. Denis Kanel is a young, successful entrepreneur and CEO. He made his name as head of ad agency Geometria, but also runs the G Gallery in SoHo as a space owner and plays a leading role in Ukraine New York, America's largest Ukrainian community with more than 80 followers on social media.

  1. Natalia Mirovich founded V Aesthetic, a spa in Brooklyn that offers a range of health and beauty treatments.
