Georgy Churkin: an extraordinarily talented graphic designer

Georgy (George) Churkin is not like other graphic designers. The 36-year-old artist from Sochi (Russia) has spent his entire life creating animation at the highest level. With over 15 years of experience and 500+ motion graphics created in just about every business field you can think of, Churkin's track record speaks for itself. Whether it's a project for a start-up business or a major Oscar-contending project, Churkin has mastered his craft and is only getting better with time.

Churkin studied at the university in Yekaterinburg, where in 2009 he received a bachelor's degree in design from the Ural Academy of Architecture and Art. His specialty is graphic design, but graphic design was in Churkin’s blood long before receiving his diploma. As a child, he watched Pixar's hit movie Toy Story and was inspired by its 3D animation. After watching it, Georgy felt that creating cartoons for children was his calling. From that moment on, he knew exactly what he wanted in life and focused solely on pursuing an education in the arts. He bought a book about 3D animation and sat at his computer all night studying it. His love for animation only grew stronger, and his skills became better and better.

By the 10th grade, Churkin was very seriously preparing to enter the university. However, this was not easy for him, and he had to overcome many obstacles before he achieved what he wanted. Georgy's parents wanted him to become an economist, and the entrance exam to the Ural Academy, where he dreamed of entering, required drawing by hand. Churkin had a specialty in computer design, and he was worried that he might fail the entrance exam. However, thanks to intensive preparation and dedication, Georgy persistently pursued his goal and was accepted into the Ural Academy. While studying at the Ural Academy, Georgy Churkin grew significantly as a graphic designer. In particular, his skills in 3D modeling, 3D animation and 2D animation grew. Many senior students at the academy even asked Churkin to help them with their graduation projects because he was very good. Georgy continued his studies at the university and graduated brilliantly. The door was now open for Churkin to take the animation world by storm and fulfill his childhood dream, which was inspired by Toy Story many years ago.

Now he is the owner and artistic director of the Fortit company, which produces documentaries and feature films. Churkin also created a company called Innovation Visual Technologies, which helps companies design logos, create websites, and publish 3D animated videos.

Churkin also provided services on the popular freelancing platform Upwork, where he helped clients around the world with 3D modeling and 3D animation. Projects ranged from small jobs for businesses to large projects with dignitaries. The work he did in Sochi paved the way for him to create animation for children. So much so that he created "SeedsKids", his own animated series for children 6-9 years old with the goal of education and inspiration to instill respect for nature and each other. The project received rave reviews and won numerous awards along the way as a graphic designer. He has repeatedly won first place in local competitions such as Metal Vision 2018 and Infinet Wireless.

What's even more impressive is that Churkin received an invitation from one of his clients in the US to help him create a 3D film. This client is Trivver. The company creates projects using virtual reality. The project is ambitious, and Georgy is very excited about the opportunity to demonstrate his skills on the biggest stage.
