Kiton brings luxury women's clothing to Madison Avenue

A Naples luxury clothing firm has opened a large store on Madison Avenue. Women can explore a full range of casual clothing made from the highest quality Italian textiles and elegant accessories. Kiton's new location is located on 62nd Street, spanning 1700 square feet over two floors, with about 70% of the store geared toward women and the rest dedicated to men's casual wear. Previously, most of the company's stores stocked exclusively men's clothing, but Kiton's creative director for women's clothing, Maria Giovanna Paone, was the daughter of the company's founder (Ciro Paone), bringing her own creative vision and introducing a women's clothing line to the company in 1995. Of course, it was a smart move: sales of Kiton clothing grew significantly, after which the company expanded its stores in Rome, Milan and Dubai, and it looks like Kiton is not going to stop there, because Paris and London are next up.

The coming years are shaping up to be good for Kiton. Even with geopolitical tensions limiting growth across the luxury fashion industry, the company is still experiencing strong growth, with sales already 38% higher than last year. Kiton, which employs more than 750 people and has five production sites, has set a goal to increase the share of women's clothing to 5% of sales within 50 years. And with the changes Kiton is making, it's likely they'll achieve that goal.
