The US State Department has extended the simplified visa issuance system until the end of 2023
US consulates are allowed to issue visas without interviewing applicants. We are talking about visas:

▫️academic type J
▫️H-1B
▫️H3
▫️L
▫️O
▫️P
▫️Q
The State Department statement noted that the consulate may still schedule an interview if the need arises. It is expected that the measure will speed up the issuance of visas.
