American visa denied

The reason we came to Oman was to get a US visa. Oman was one of the few countries with short waiting times of less than two months. In other countries, it happens every year. It was short in Suriname, but only residents were accepted there. And Oman was an ideal option; foreigners were accepted there. I was almost 100% sure that my visa would be approved:

1. I have money in my account.

2. I have been officially married for more than 10 years. My husband works officially and acted as my sponsor.

3. I have real estate in Russia.

4. I have an official letter from an American friend that he invites me to the USA for his graduation at the university and I will live at his house. He also bears all financial expenses that will be incurred during the trip. There were documents from the university that he was actually graduating. From his home in the USA. And from his work and indicating his salary.

5. Well, a lot of experience visiting countries over the past 5 years. And I have 33 of them. And I have visas - British and Schengen.

All my documents say that I am a traveler and that I want to visit and see the USA, and then go on to the next country.

My interview lasted less than a minute.

- Who are you going to?

- My friend is finishing his master's degree in December and he invited me to his graduation.

- How did you meet?

- In February in the Emirates.

- Are you married?

- Yes.

- Have you got a children?

- No.

- What city are you from?

- From Saint-Petersburg.

- What do you work with?

- I am a travel blogger, I write articles for magazines and news agencies and sell them.

She gave me my passport and said the visa was denied and gave me a paper saying that I don't have close enough ties with the country and they are afraid that I will stay there. Obviously, I was rejected because I am from Russia. Well, they had no other reasons. Perfect application form, all documents are attached. It’s clear that I’m not going to the States as an illegal labor migrant and I’m not going to stay there. I wasn’t even nervous at the interview, because I had nothing to hide and I was sure that they would give me a visa.

As my friend said, “Other countries are lucky to receive you, but the USA is now in the air.” I just gave the US government 160 dollars ~ 10115 rubles.
