Experts call the most dangerous beach in the USA
A new report from Travel Lens finds that New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is the "deadliest" beach in the United States. It received a danger rating of 8,14/10. The estimate was influenced by the number of deaths from surfing and shark attacks, as well as the frequency of hurricanes in the area. New Smyrna Beach has twice as many shark attacks as any other beach in the United States.
Two other Florida beaches, Cocoa Beach and Ormond Beach, also ranked 2nd and 3rd in the anti-rating with a danger rating of 7,57/10 and 7,48/10, respectively.
“Florida was the state hardest hit by hurricanes, which explains why 7 of the 10 most dangerous beaches are in the state,” the report said.
