150 million Americans use TikTok
The number of active TikTok users in the US has doubled over the past 3 years. This does not include children under 13 years of age. So says TikTok CEO Shaw Zi Chu. About 138 million users are of voting age. A recent Quinnipiac poll found that 49% of Americans support a TikTok ban in the US, while 42% oppose it.
Authorities believe that TikTok, owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, poses a threat to national security.
