Flood in California: people lost their homes and cars

It's the end of the world here in California. The rain and wind are so strong that a billion dollars are now needed to eliminate all the consequences of the natural disaster. The rooftops of Los Angeles, like the Angelenos themselves, are in a relaxed state - so the floor of our house turned into Venice for a day - we floated from the living room to the kitchen, past the Christmas tree and sofas. The pool overflowed its banks. Lightning struck right into the yard, it became so bright that for a second it seemed as if the electricity had gone out. We live on a mountain and found ourselves blocked - the roads were washed out, trees fell, the ground slid.

But we are still lucky. Due to the flood, many lost their homes, electricity, and cars. TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres posted a video from her home in Montecito (the city with the most expensive real estate, overpopulated with celebrities), where a dry creek has turned into a wide river and residents are preparing to evacuate. Among them are poor Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. What if this is all the curse of Buckingham Palace?

Russians, of course, are not surprised by such rain, but in California it happens once a year, and it is always a shock. Our roof is regularly repaired every January, but it still leaks, just in different places. The lover is indignant at this construction game of tag by local craftsmen. If only they had tried to repair roofs on Rublyovka like this, the whole squad would have been knitting mittens in Mordovia long ago. Such is the unbearable lightness of being in action.
