Police are searching for a New York woman who threw sulfuric acid in the face of a subway passenger.

Today, police released a photograph of a woman suspected of attacking a subway passenger. According to investigators, at the Winthrop Street station in Brooklyn, a woman approached one of the passengers and threw sulfuric acid in her face.

The victim was taken to the hospital. Doctors say she suffered severe burns to her face. According to eyewitnesses, before the attack, the suspect behaved inappropriately in the train carriage and shouted at passengers.

Let me remind you that at the beginning of the week, New York Mayor Eric Adams said that police will now forcibly detain mentally ill citizens and take them to hospitals.
