Washington allocated $8 million to New York to help immigrants, although the mayor's office asked for $1 billion

New York Mayor Eric Adams said the federal government is already helping to resolve the crisis associated with the massive influx of immigrants from Texas and Arizona (people get there from Mexico).

The mayor's office of New York turned to Washington and asked to allocate $1 billion to solve the problems of thousands of visitors. However, so far the federal government has allocated only $7,89 million. According to the New York Post, more than 2022 thousand immigrants have arrived in New York since April 34. 23 thousand visitors were placed in homeless shelters. Mayor Adams said the city must spend $250 million to address the city's immigration crisis.
