National Review reported depletion of Stinger and Javelin arsenals due to APU
To support Ukraine, the United States spent a stock of Stinger MANPADS and Javelin ATGMs designed for several years, says Greg Hayes, CEO of the American military-industrial company Raytheon. According to him, the first months of the NWO depleted the US weapons stockpile.
“We've used up 13 years of production of the Stinger and five years of production of the Javelin,” he estimated the actual losses of the US arsenals.
According to the magazine, the issue of replenishing supplies is very acute. The Pentagon has not purchased MANPADS since 2004. The publication's columnist Jimmy Quinn added that a total of 5500 Javelin and 1400 Stinger units were delivered to Ukraine.
