“I’m ashamed of my country”: how Russian volunteers in different countries help Ukrainians

When I started working on this project, I had doubts. After all, some Ukrainians don’t even want to hear the Russian language, and in principle they are closed to everything Russian. They can be understood. The war continues. But as soon as I met the volunteers (for me they are heroes), I realized that the film had to be made. It contains one simple idea, which in the end, I hope, we were able to convey: the majority of Russians who live in different parts of the world support Ukraine and oppose the war. Moreover, Russian immigrants prove this with real deeds!

The heroes of this project personally visited hot spots, they met refugees at airports, and collected humanitarian aid. They believe that in this way they will not only be able to personally help Ukraine, but they will also be able to somehow “stir up” those who live in Russia. I don’t know if it will be possible to awaken indifference THERE... But you still watch the film. Here is the link:

How do Ukrainians react to the help of Russians and why has volunteering today become one of the ways to bring yourself back to life? The characters in the film talk about this and much more personally. Take a look too.
