The Republican congressman from Long Island admitted that he lied about some facts of his biography.

'I'm ashamed': Newly elected Long Island (New York) congressman George Santos has publicly apologized for deceiving voters by making up basic facts in his biography. During the campaign, Santos, 34, lied about where he worked in the past (allegedly on Wall Street), where he studied (actually nowhere), what kind of real estate he owns (none), and, finally, that he is not Jewish. and his family did not suffer in the Holocaust.

But the fact that he is gay is the pure truth and the Republican congressman does not refuse this.

George Santos has no intention of leaving Congress. "I am not a criminal. This will not be an obstacle to achieving success in my legislative activities. I will be effective. I will be good," he told reporters.
