Lev Parnas admitted that he carried out Trump's instructions

You’ve probably already forgotten about the high-profile case of Igor Fruman and Lev Parnas: both were associates of Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani and helped establish unofficial contacts in Ukraine (though that’s not what they were convicted for). Today the case received an unexpected continuation: Lev Parnas wrote a column detailing his version of events.

Parnas admitted that he acted as an unofficial “ambassador” who, on behalf of Trump and Giuliani, tried to get the Ukrainian authorities to prosecute Hunter Biden on the basis of incriminating evidence received from Eastern European oligarchs. Parnas acknowledged the fact that Trump paused military aid to Ukraine while attempts were made to open an investigation against Biden. At the same time, according to Parnas, Trump did not care that Ukraine would be put in a vulnerable position, including because Trump was under the influence of Putin. Parnas sees the secret of this influence not in Trump’s blackmail with photographs of prostitutes in Russia, but in the fact that Putin is very similar to Trump’s father Fred in that he is the same ruthless authoritarian leader. Parnas also replays his conversation with Trump, who asked how long Ukraine could withstand a Russian invasion. “Not for long if we don’t help,” Parnassus replied.

Let me remind you that Trump’s first impeachment occurred precisely because of a conversation with Vladimir Zelensky regarding the investigation against Biden.
