Bradley Fisher sued the Russian oligarch who financed the production company New Republic Pictures

While all the Russian oligarchs lay low, Dmitry Rybolovlev, a Russian oligarch with a Cypriot passport, was unlucky - he was dragged into a scandal related to film production. It turned out that thanks to Dmitry's generous soul, we admired Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun. Through his representative, one Valery Ahn, and the company Amber US Subsidiary, LLC, he finances the independent feature film production company New Republic Pictures, headed by industry titans Brian Oliver and Bradley Fisher, who worked together on Black Swan. During the pandemic, New Republic signed $200 million in 10-film deals with Paramount, including the Mission: Impossible sequel and Coming 2 America.

However, after the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Rybolovlev withdrew all his assets from the United States and cut off funding in order to avoid sanctions. Bradley Fisher, the president of New Republic Pictures, did not like this development and budget cuts - he joined the company because he was promised dozens of films and a share. Fischer did not agree to the new conditions and was fired without explanation. He claims that Rybolovlev now owes him $15 million.

Bradley Fischer sued a Russian oligarch for breach of work contract. Actually, this is how it was revealed who this black cardinal of the American film industry is. Still, the Universe is clearly hinting at something to Rybolovlev - several years ago he sued the Swiss art dealer Yves Bouvier, whom he accused of fraud of $1 billion, and lost the case.
