Democrats proposed enshrining in the constitution the right to vote from the age of 16

More than 12 Democratic representatives in the US House of Representatives have proposed introducing an amendment to the country's constitution that would allow voting from the age of 16. According to FOX, this will make it easier to implement left-liberal policies, which include gun control and increased environmental protections.

“The right of United States citizens who are 16 years of age or older to vote shall not be denied or abridged in one or all of the States on account of age,” Democratic Representative Grace Meng introduced the resolution. She noted that repealing the 26th Amendment to the US Constitution would allow young people to express their opinions on many positions supported by Democrats.

“Our young people […] continue to fight and advocate for so many issues that they are passionate about […] They are extremely involved in the policies that affect their lives and their future,” Meng said.
