Woman pregnant with 13-year-old boy could avoid jail
31-year-old Andrea Serrano from Colorado raped a 13-year-old boy and became pregnant by him. Because she admitted to the sexual encounter and agreed to a deal, prosecutors reduced the original charges to a lesser crime that did not require prison time.
The boy's family is outraged that the girl can escape punishment. “I feel like my son’s childhood was stolen from him. Now he has to be a father,” his mother says. The victim's parents will seek custody of Serrano's child.
