Business in Texas: a woman tried to sell a rented car
In Humble, Texas, police arrested a woman trying to sell a leased 2022 Toyota Camry. The unfortunate seller asked for $10 for the car, which is not even half of its real cost. The buyer deliberately agreed to the deal, as he immediately realized that the car was most likely stolen. He reported the find to the police. Law enforcement officers contacted the real owner of the car, who confirmed that the Toyota was rented.
After completing the transaction, officers arrested the woman, who was charged with 3rd degree theft of a motor vehicle and 2nd degree falsification of documents.
