A doctor was jailed for illegally issuing prescriptions for oxycodone.
Howard Adelglass was the head of a pain management clinic in Manhattan. He wrote thousands of prescriptions for oxycodone that did not require pain medication. From November 2017 to September 2020, more than 1,3 million tablets were prescribed. In exchange for the drug, the criminal demanded sex, cocaine, and money.
Yesterday Adelglass was sentenced to 12,5 years in prison.
