Patients are at risk: in the US, thousands of nurses work with fake diplomas
More than 7600 fraudulent degrees were obtained by nurses who continue to work in medical institutions not only in Florida, where they received fraudulent documents, but also in Ohio, New York, Georgia, Massachusetts and other states.
Three nursing schools were involved in the fraudulent scheme: Siena College, Palm Beach School of Nursing and International Institute of the Sacred Heart. Women passed exams without problems and received licenses to work as certified specialists.
Police have charged 22 people involved in illegal activities.
