Wyoming bans abortion pills
Different states have anti-abortion laws, but Wyoming will be the first to ban the use of abortion pills. The law comes into force on July 1. Medical abortion is used in most cases of termination of pregnancy. Under this law, it would be prohibited to prescribe, dispense, distribute, sell or use any drug for the purpose of providing or performing an abortion. Doctors or others who violate this will be charged with an offense punishable by up to six months in prison and a fine of $9000.
