Who owns the rights to the works created by the neural network?
An interesting post by Russian lawyer Sergei Budylin about exclusive rights to works created by artificial intelligence in the USA. I highly recommend it: interesting and informative. As I usually say, it’s great that there are colleagues: I was just about to write about Zarya of the Dawn and the decision of the US Copyright Office, but now I don’t need to write :)
And about the case of Urantia Foundation v. I myself learned Maaherra from Sergei’s post. Well, this is lovely: “the appellate court agreed that the supernatural beings [who “transmitted the essence of their teachings to humanity through a certain patient of a Chicago psychiatrist”] ... were not employees of the plaintiff organization, and therefore the work cannot be characterized as proprietary ".
