Deacon received 16 years in prison for sex with minors
Yesterday, a federal judge in Brooklyn sentenced a former deacon at St. Sebastian's to 16 years in prison for having sex with three underage boys.
In September, Rogelio Vega pleaded guilty to soliciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He used the Kik app and the gay dating site Grindr. Several times the man met up with guys in motels or in a car. At the trial, Vega repented of his actions.
The lawyer said the man was abused as a child.
