Deadly loneliness: More than half of Americans consider themselves lonely

According to scientists, about 60% of US residents feel lonely. Many Americans have little contact with friends and family, devoting more and more time to work.

Professor John Young argues that this condition has a negative impact on health. Some researchers compare prolonged loneliness to smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

Young advises spending more time with people: not watching sports games at home, but going to the pub with friends. If you want to do, for example, handicrafts, you can find special courses and do it together with like-minded people.
