Hundreds of sandwiches, yogurts and snacks have been recalled in the US due to the threat of mass listeriosis.
The FDA found listeria bacteria in Fresh Ideation Food Group's manufacturing facilities. Due to the threat of contamination, authorities together with the company are recalling more than 400 types of products. The list includes quick breakfasts, sandwiches, desserts and other food from the brands Bistro and Go, Quick & Fresh, Orchard Bistro and others.
Products were seized in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Some products ended up on Amtrak trains, but now, officials say, all food on flights is completely safe.
