Florida tax holiday starts this Saturday
During this holiday, tax breaks will be extended to a variety of items needed for everyday use. The tax holiday will be in effect from Saturday until June 9, and again in August. Additionally, the summer tax holiday will provide incentives for outdoor-related items, including fishing, camping, water sports and boating supplies.
For children under 12 years of age, there is also a tax exemption on toys and sports equipment, as well as on items such as sunscreen and insect repellent. Additionally, some attractions, including concerts, sporting events, museums and state parks, may be free on certain dates.
There will also be additional tax-free days in the coming days, including school shopping days and gas stoves and cooktops. It's part of the largest tax relief plan in Florida history, which was signed into law Thursday.
