Five of the Coolest Lookouts in New York

Finally visited Top of the Rock, this is the observation deck on the roof of the famous Rockefeller Center, now I can make my own rating of observation decks in New York:

1. Summit (One Vanderbilt)

-the newest and most spectacular venue with a glass floor and ceiling, which makes photographs inside look like scenes from a sci-fi movie;

-at an altitude of more than 310 meters, you can find three floors of various entertainment, including a room with balls and modern art, a photo spot, a digital video wall and so on. Ideal for those who like to create a lot of content;

-upstairs there are two beautiful bars, one of them outdoors;

- an all-glass elevator that will take you up additional tens of meters for extra money.

The only downside is the need to book a time slot in advance before sunset. And have at least 2-3 hours left to leisurely enjoy the observation deck.

2. Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center)

-the legendary, famous building, built back in the 30s of the last century, welcomes guests on the roof at an altitude of 260 meters;

-one of the best views due to the fact that the site is located in the very center of Manhattan, the result: a stunning three-dimensional view of the city;

-the design of several levels allows you to look at the views without glass with a relatively low fence and take cool photos from the second floor of the observation room;

-the most beautiful view of Central Park and the Empire State Building.

Apart from the beautiful views, there is not much to do at the top, and there are almost no indoor areas where you can spend time. One of the most famous and tourist places, so there will always be a long queue to enter.

3.Empire State Building

-the site is located on the roof of the most famous building in the USA, opened in 1931. There are so many films, clips, photos and stories associated with this place that it is an absolute must see;

-your experience will include a small and interesting museum about the construction of the building and the spirit of the time of the 30s of the last century. The building was the tallest skyscraper in the world for 39 years (381 meters);

- the most beautiful view of DownTown New York.

Unfortunately there is no 360 view in the outdoor area, the view is only to the south.

4.The Edge

- let's start with the main thing - this is the largest and steepest balcony in the world at an altitude of 340 meters;

-indoor and outdoor areas, you can leisurely spend time and watch the sunset;

-the tip of the balcony provides the best opportunity to take the most spectacular photograph of a person against the backdrop of the city.

The view of the balcony is only to the south and east, and the platform itself is located near the Hudson, so your view of the city will be slightly offset from the center. Due to the fact that the tip of the balcony is the most desirable photo spot, you can stand in line for an hour.

Ticket $40

5.One World Observatory

-the highest platform on the tallest building in the United States;

-the famous interactive elevator that shows how the green island became a concrete jungle;

-there is a cafe inside and minimal entertainment.

Perhaps too high, the volume of the buildings disappears. It will appeal to those who love views from an airplane window. There is also no open area, everything is only through the windows.
