Tens of thousands of Russian-speaking immigrants ended up in the United States in 2022-2023. Some crossed the border with Mexico and ended up in America, while others managed to obtain a tourist visa and ask for asylum in the United States. According to the US Department of Justice, in the 2023 fiscal year (from October 1, 2022), the share of Russians granted asylum in the country amounted to 63%. For example, asylum seekers from Venezuela only have 38% of cases approved. And for immigrants from Mexico only 5%. However, thousands of immigrants are still looking for a guarantor. And those who have started a new life cannot pay for lawyers and are trying to find other ways to get advice. A separate problem is finding free housing in the USA.
