"It's time to go home" says a banner for Russians in Times Square

The special economic zone (SEZ) “Alabuga” (Elabuga district of Tatarstan) placed an advertising banner with the text in Russian “It’s time to go home” on one of the buildings in Times Square in New York. This was reported on the Alabuga SEZ page on VKontakte. “We invite our people to return. For those who haven't noticed, we compete on all fronts with world-class corporations. Niches in Russia have become free, we can pay world-class remuneration to professionals. Because we are facing world-class challenges,” the message states. As Daniya Utalieva, official representative of the Alabuga SEZ, told Kommersant-Kazan, advertising has a recruiting purpose. First of all, a response is expected from people from Russia specializing in the field of aviation, microelectronics, and IT. “Russians are the best in the world in aviation, microelectronics, and IT. They are in demand by our country, and we will make them the best offer in the world,” the Alabuga SEZ emphasized. It is noted that professionals will be offered “world-class remuneration.” Alabuga is the largest special economic zone in Russia. The total volume of private investment is 158,5 billion rubles. More than 9,5 thousand jobs were created in the SEZ, and residents’ revenue for 2021 reached 136 billion rubles.
