Oklahoma governor bans funding for public television
Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt vetoed PBS OETA funding due to “objectionable content.” The governor of Oklahoma was outraged by a program where a drag actress read a children's book called “Drag Queen Thighs Do Wheel, Wheel, Wheel.” Stitt also criticized one news report that promoted gender therapy for children. The official does not understand why taxpayers’ money should be spent on such content. The channel could be shut down soon if state lawmakers don't overturn Stitt's ruling.
