How did an American earn $125,000 from fines?

I want to share with you another interesting case from America. But first, I'll tell you the backstory. In 2019, an initiative was launched in the United States under which anyone could take a photo of a traffic violator and receive 25% of his fine for it. They did this because many drivers simply forgot to turn off the engine while they were parked. Such a violation, according to authorities, provokes emissions of large amounts of harmful substances and pollutes the atmosphere. This initiative has proven incredibly popular among residents. Many, especially in New York, organized entire raids called "Idle Warriors" to travel around the city and receive a reward.

But there is one who especially distinguished himself. From all the fines collected, Donald Blair earned $125,000. He just spent days driving around the area looking for violators. There was even a whole news release about him, if you're interested, be sure to check it out.

Now Amazon and the delivery services UPS and FedEx are in the top for the number of unpaid fines. The first owes the state as much as $250,000, and the other two companies $50,000 and $60,000. And these are just fines.
