Miracle in Missouri: four years after the funeral, the nun's body was dug up incorrupt

In the town of Gower, the body of Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster, who died in 2019 at the age of 95, was exhumed - they wanted to rebury her in a tomb inside the chapel. Everyone expected to see only bones in the coffin, but a body almost undamaged by time was pulled out from under the ground.

The “Miracle in Missouri” is already causing a stir: Catholics from all over the country are flocking to the church. The remains of the late Wilhelmina will now be placed in a glass display case for public viewing. The Catholic community is calling for the nun to be canonized, but such a decision requires an expert assessment from the Vatican.

Scientists note that the rate of decomposition of a body depends on many conditions: the most important thing is temperature, that is, the lower it is, the slower bacteria multiply. In addition, a lot depends on the coffin: modern wooden ones can take many years to decompose before the process reaches the body.
