New housing lottery in New York: renting apartments in an elite new building
New Yorkers can enter a drawing to win apartments at the new apartment complex at 595 Dean Street in Brooklyn. Of the 800 units, one-third are available through the NYC Housing Connect program for residents whose incomes are 130% of the area median income. In the case of this house, people who earn between $78 and $187 thousand per year per family can participate in the lottery.
Lottery winners will be able to rent a studio for $2300, a one-bedroom apartment for $2700 and a two-bedroom for $3360. You can submit your application until July 3. The house has a terrace with a pool and grill on the roof, and the complex also has a conference room, game room, fitness center and even a dog grooming room.
