State Farm will no longer insure California homes due to wildfire risk
Effective Saturday, May 27th, State Farm will no longer accept new claims for property insurance in California. One of the country's largest insurance companies, State Farm, attributed this to high risks of forest fires and rising construction costs. And also a complex reinsurance market.
