New York City Mayor Eric Adams reiterates his commitment to fighting rats mercilessly

Eric Adams was given a tour by the new head of the special rat control unit at the New York City Hall, Rick Simeone. By the way, Eric Adams himself invited everyone to take this position in his administration and offered a very good salary of $170 thousand per year. New ideas include keeping trash cans closed at all times to prevent rodents from getting into them. The mayor of New York appears to be taking the rat problem seriously again. This week he even walked around New York City and explored the rat holes himself. Eric Adams understood one thing for sure: the rat population is increasing due to food waste, which city residents often leave on the street.

Starting April 1, New York City will change its trash collection rules. Bins can only be placed outside from 6 pm, and garbage bags from 8 pm. Read more about the new garbage collection rules here.
