Gotham Book Awards: Who Wins?
The Gotham Book Awards recognize the best works—fiction or nonfiction—written about New York City. This year there were 11 finalists and 2 winners. The winners were “Stories of the Tenants Below” and “The Seamstress’s Tale.” The first is about various people brought together by fate in a Harlem apartment building, and the second is a historical drama about the first published rape trial. The 2022 winner was The Invisible Child (Andrea Elliott).
