New York authorities want to install toilets in parks for $5,3 million

The City of New York plans to purchase new state-of-the-art Portland Loo toilets. The cost of the toilet itself is $185 thousand. The most expensive are the cabins. According to officials' plan, such booths should appear in parks in all five boroughs of New York. This means that the budget is going to allocate $5,3 million for toilets. This cost also includes the work of specialists installing toilets.

It is known that one of the toilets will appear in East Harlem in Thomas Jefferson Park, writes NYP. Journalists also learned that the toilet manufacturer selected the cheapest designs for New York. The mayor's office could have ordered toilets costing from 5 to 10 million, but did not do so.
