New York to issue 300 marijuana licenses
Currently, 66 sales permits have been issued and 4 legal stores have opened. But despite the fact that the state is building a “white” market, the “black” market is also developing. At first they wanted to issue 150 business licenses, but authorities received 900 applications, so now the state is doubling the number of permits to 300.
Today there is another problem: Brooklyn, Central New York, the Finger Lakes, the mid-Hudson region and Western New York have frozen licensing due to litigation. The state plans to appeal.
