A new epidemic threatens humanity: doctors have discovered an outbreak of a virus that cannot be treated
WHO convened an emergency meeting due to the outbreak of one of the deadliest diseases: cases of Marburg virus infection have increased in Africa. Nine people have already died in Equatorial Guinea, and dozens more are infected. The disease caused by the Marburg virus has no cure: about 90% of those infected die from it.
WHO is monitoring the situation and trying to contain the epidemic. Now scientists will conduct tests and try to create a vaccine, although this will take months.
Symptoms of infection with the virus appear suddenly: fever, severe headache, diarrhea, vomiting - symptoms similar to most tropical diseases.
