Reckitt recalls 145 cans of formula due to infection risk
Reckitt is recalling two lots of Enfamil ProSobee Simply Plant-Based baby food. The products were manufactured from August to September last year and are marked ZL2HZF or ZL2HZZ. The company calls for urgent disposal of these cans or a refund for them at points of sale.
This is because food may potentially contain the bacterium Cronobacter sakazakii. The tests carried out showed a negative result, but the manufacturer is recalling the product as a precaution. The bacteria may have been introduced into the mixtures “due to materials from a third party,” with which Reckitt is no longer partnering.
